From Moshe

I humbly submit the following:
Israel, and thus all Jews, has been fighting this same war for centuries. This is Chanukah. This is the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans. This is the pogroms, the Hebron Massacre of 1929, the Holocaust, the attack by 5 modern Arab armies in 1947 upon the passing of U.N. resolution 181, it's Suez, 67', Yom Kippur, Lebanon 82', Intifadas, suicide bombers, rockets, Lebanon 06'.

Why is this all the same war? Because none of this destruction has been over oil, land, money...all of these wars and massacres are about one thing; the absolute extermination of the Jews from this planet. Please read the Hamas charter. It is at heart an existential war that we've been fighting over and over. Hamas lives only so Jews may G-d forbid, die.

But it hasn't worked. Never will. If, however, this questionable leadership of Israel pulls back, gives into 'world' opinion and pressure like all their Jewish governments before them, this will lead to terrible tragedy. The world will NEVER support us. (G-d Bless George W.). This isn't a popularity contest. This is not Lebanon 06'. We have made a declaration. I cannot believe that even this Israel government isn't aware that this must now be just the FIRST front. A fuse has been lit amidst the nuclear powder keg looming over us. Us. All of us. Each and every single Jew in the world. May G-d protect our People, give us the courage to achieve what must be done, and may we ultimately serve as an illuminating example to the whole world that we all must be INTOLERANT to terror, violence and hate. I'll finish this long winded but at least heartfelt post with a quote from Mark Twain's 'Concerning the Jews"; "All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?"

DAMNED IF THEY DO BUT ISRAEL'S DEAD IF THEY DON'T

By Ralph Peters:

DEAD Jews aren't news, but killing terrorists outrages global activists. On Saturday, Israel struck back powerfully against its tormentors. Now Israel's the villain. Again.

How long will it be until the UN General Assembly passes a resolution creating an international Holocaust Appreciation Day?

It's about Time

Israel Gaza blitz kills 290, as ground troops mobilize-

200 people killed in Gaza by Israeli attacks. Exactly how long did the Palestinians in Gaza suppose that they could indiscriminately lob missiles into a sovereign nation before they took action into their own hands?

What nation would have tolerated years and thousand of missiles fired into their civilian towns? What action has the UN taken to stop the firing of missiles from Gaza into Israel?

Israel had abandoned Gaza in hope of some semblance of peace. Hamas was elected and they clearly had no intentions of any peace that included a sovereign Israel.

Israel’s actions should be as ferocious as necessary to bring the rocket attacks to a complete halt. The blood of every Palestinian killed is 100% on the hands of Hamas.

Short term ferocity is the only humane way to fight a war. As noted in previous blogs, the international press’s anti Zionist leanings has made the attacks more ferocious and brutal to accomplish their objectives. The wars must be harsh and fast before public forums are able to effectively bring their pressure against Israel.

What about Gitmo?

Australia may resettle a number of detainees released from Guantanamo Bay at the request of the US government, a spokesman says.

"Australia, along with a number of other countries, has been approached to consider resettling detainees from Guantanamo Bay," a spokesman for Prime Minister Kevin Rudd told The Weekend Australian

The report comes amid President-elect Barack Obama's pledge to shut down the notorious prison in Cuba, where "enemy combatants" of the US are kept captive.

The spokesman, however, added that any determination for an individual "would be made on a case-by-case basis."

"All persons accepted to come to Australia would have to meet Australia's strict legal requirements and go through the normal and extremely rigorous assessment processes," he added.

The Gitmo detainees were captured during Bush's 'war on terror'. However, they are no longer considered a threat by US authorities.

Among the detainees were two Australians who have already been resettled in their home country. David "Australian Taliban" Hicks was held for five years before being convicted last year of providing material support for terrorism. He was returned to Australia and served nine months in jail.

The other Australian detainee, Mamdouh Habib, was released from Guantanamo Bay without being charged in 2005.

Obama's transition team is looking for new destinations for some 250 inmates who remain locked up in the detention center without charge or trial.

Germany and Portugal have signaled their support for the idea of resettling former Guantanamo Bay inmates, while France seeks a common European position to the Gitmo's shutdown.

Thousands in Middle East protest Israeli Retaliation

Thousands of people participated in rallies across the Middle East Sunday to protest Israel's airstrikes on the Gaza Strip and to show support for Palestinians caught in the attacks.

Some of the larger protests were in the capitals of Yemen and Jordan. Hundreds of protesters also clashed with policemen in Lebanon while smaller demonstrations were staged in Iran.

Arab League leaders agreed to meet Wednesday to discuss a reaction to the Israeli airstrikes, which were prompted by missile and mortar attacks out of the Gaza Strip after a ceasefire expired Dec 19.

Since the Israeli attacks started Saturday, 283 Palestinians, many of them militants, were reported dead. More than 900 have reportedly been wounded.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of several Yemeni cities. The largest, by far, was in the capital, Sana'a, where around 80,000 people rallied in the city's main football stadium, police officials said.

Thousands of protesters also took part in anti-Israeli demonstrations in the cities of Aden, Dhalea, Taiz, Houdieda, Dhamar, Abyan and Lahj, the police reported.

The Shoe Thrower

According to Arab commentators, Iraqi journalist Muntazar al Zaidi, who launched his two shoes against U.S. President George Bush while calling him “dog”, is a controversial militant. Dr. Abdel Khaliq Hussein, writing in Elaph accused al Zaidi of being a “friend of the terrorists.” Furthermore, along with other analysts, Hussein said the “shoe thrower” used to know about the “terrorist attacks before they took place and managed to be at the location beforehand.” These are serious accusations against a person who was made into an icon of “Arab pride” by the Jihadi media machine. Furthermore, Hussein wrote that al Zaidi fabricated his abduction story last year to get “maximum publicity.” One can see a pattern here. Maybe President Bush’s instincts were right.

I D F into Gaza

Israel gets bombarded by HAMAS rockets on a daily basis. Rockets land in Sderot and nearby areas and were launched from Gaza. Israel does not get a moment of peace and nearby people live in fear. When the IDF retaliates and kills the attackers they are called murders. Just blame the Jews, it is the easiest thing to do. First they will come for the Saturday people then the Sunday people.
